How to use MikeKnows QA

Click the gold 'Get started' button at the top right of the home page.

Type your first name on the Settings page. (You can change it anytime.)

Pick a Learning Mode: Fast Track (busy), Standard (comfortable), or Deep Dive (thorough).

Tip: Not sure? Pick Fast Track. You can change it later.

Pick a Learning Style: Hands-On, Visual, or Reading.

Click 'Home' in the left menu to see your starting point.

Step 1 — Home. Read your 'Up next' card. This tells you the single most important thing to do today.

Tip: If you only have 5 minutes, just do whatever 'Up next' says.

Step 2 — Career GPS. This is your map. Look at your roadmap, your skill gaps, and your live market pulse.

Step 3 — Your Fast Track (Manual, Automation, or AI). The sidebar now shows only the track you chose. Work through the modules top to bottom.

Step 4 — My Learning Path. After each module, check here to see your mastery, practice, and confidence scores climb.

Step 5 — Practice Vault. Short hands-on drills. This is where real skill gets built.

Step 6 — Job Simulator. Pretend you're already on the job: file a bug in Jira, write a test plan, survive your first week.

Step 7 — Portfolio. Save your best work. This is what you'll show recruiters.

Step 8 — Career Readiness + Career Launch. Interview prep, résumé, and the 'are you ready?' checklist.

Step 9 — Certifications & Exams. Earn badges that prove your skill on a résumé.

Anytime — AI Tutor (the floating button). Ask any QA question, day or night.

Home — your simple 'what's next' page.

Practice Vault — bite-sized drills you can do in 5 minutes.

Job Simulator — realistic on-the-job scenarios (Jira tickets, bug reports, first-week tasks).

Portfolio — your saved bug reports, test plans, and projects — ready to share with recruiters.

Career Readiness — mock interviews, behavioral practice, and a 'ready?' checklist.

Career Launch — résumé builder, application tracker, salary negotiation prompts.

AI Career Coach — chat-based coach for career questions and decisions.

Market Intelligence — live-feeling data on skills, salaries, certs, tools, and emerging careers.

Tip: Open this BEFORE picking a path if you're still deciding.

Certifications & Badges — earned badges you can show off.

Look at the top of the sidebar — you'll see your current path (e.g. 'Automation path').

Want to see everything? Click 'Show all features' at the top of the sidebar.

Tip: Toggle it back to 'Focus mode' anytime.

Done with your path and ready to try another? Click 'Change path' at the bottom of the sidebar (or in Settings) to re-run Career GPS.

Your progress is never lost when you switch — skills carry over between paths.
